PRIVACY POLICY

How Stamped handles account, location, and check-in data.

Stamped is a collection-tracking product for real-world places. This policy covers the Stamped iPhone app, Apple Watch companion, Android app, and web experiences.

Data we collect

We collect account identifiers needed to sign you in and connect your history to your account, including your auth-provider user ID, display name, and email address.

We collect precise location only when needed to power nearby stamping and visit verification.

If you choose to attach proof to a stamp, we collect the photos and notes you submit with that check-in.

How we use it

We use your data to authenticate you, show your collections and progress, verify nearby places, and store your check-in history across devices.

Tracking and advertising

Stamped is not built around third-party advertising, and the current client apps do not implement app-tracking flows.

The public website may use optional analytics providers, including Microsoft Clarity and Google Tag Manager, only after consent and only on stamped.world. Clarity can provide behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. These tools may use cookies and similar technologies for site improvement and diagnostics. You can change the analytics choice from any page. The necessary cookie stamped_world_marketing_consent uses a 180-day lifetime; localStorage key stamped-world-marketing-analytics-consent-v1 stores a versioned, timestamped choice with a 180-day grant lifetime. If accepted, Clarity may set _clck and _clsk cookies and record interactions for session replay. Rejecting keeps these optional tools unloaded; withdrawing reloads the page to stop their execution. Hosting and form security are necessary services, separate from analytics. Learn more in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Retention

Check-ins, notes, and uploaded proof stay associated with your account until they are removed from the product or the account is deleted.

The public contact retention worker is configured to delete messages older than 180 days. Email copies and provider backups have separate retention arrangements.
